systems
there’s all sorts of good systems out here.
in our house, we have the Koshin MiniPondy KP-103. it’s a pump that lives next to our washing machine. after we finish taking a bath, we run the pump end of the hose from the MiniPondy over to the bathtub; the other end feeds into the washing machine. that way we can use the water from our bath (which, mind you, people clean themselves off before getting into the bath out here) to run our laundry. not bad, right?
lately i’ve noticed that lots of people walking their dogs around the neighborhood carry around what’s basically a small butterfly net that, instead of an actual net at the end, holds a plastic bag. when their dog squats down to poop, they just stick the net under the on-the-cusp-of-pooping rear end of their dog, catch whatever comes out, tie it up, and whip it over the bushes into whosever yard they happen to be next to at the time. well, just kidding about that last part. but still. it’s a good system.
